TEACHER HAN WEI

Teacher Han-Wei has concertized in recitals, chamber music and music festivals in North, South America, Austria and Taiwan. Han Wei has performed with renowned musicians as Katy Lansdale, Marcy Rosen, Bright Sheng and Hartford Symphony. A founding member of the Sylvanus Ensemble and the 016 New Music Ensemble, she has completed a concert tour in Taiwan and several performances in Connecticut, USA in 2014.

 

As a Pianist, Han Wei has accompanied numerous recitals in Taiwan and USA. She also performed a Trio at the Aria International Summer Music Academy in USA. As a Cellist, Han Wei is the 2nd prize winner of New York Artist International Competition and performed in Lincoln Center, NYC. Hanwei has also participated in master classes with Emerson String Quartet, Timothy Eddy, Slovatcri Serghvsky and the Miami String Quartet.  

Hanwei received her Master’s Degree and Artist Diploma at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to be a member of the chamber music program, Performance 20/20.

 

As a teacher, Han Wei has taught in Taiwan, United States and Seoul, Korea. She is a registered Suzuki Cello teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas as well as a formal faculty member of Music School at Sound Crossing in the United States and Seoul Foreigner School in South Korea.
